The present Talent Management Suite (TMS) is a tool that will assist you with your personal career development planning. The TMS is designed in a way, so a researcher without any help of a professional career coach can use it. However, for some of the tasks a professional career coach would be very helpful. Alternatively, you could ask family, friends or colleagues to assist you with some of the tasks. Including other people would give you an outside view of some challenges that could be very helpful in finding the right solutions.
The TMS is structured in four different assessments. It starts with the assessment “Future”, consisting of one single sheet. Afterwards, the assessment “Presence”, consisting of three tasks, follows. Ideally, you take about two to three weeks for this assessment and feed it consistently. Naturally, the two first assessments are succeeded by the assessment “Past”. After having performed these three first assessments, the final assessment called “Personal Journey Map” follows. This final assessment is divided in four steps and you need the additional sheet called “REFLEX model” to pursue it. Once you reach the task that involves the REFLEX model, take about 10-20 minutes to get acquainted with the tool.
We are aware that the present instrument takes a lot of effort and energy to fulfil, but we are convinced that after having completed the TMS, you will have a better understanding not only of your professional, but also your private life and the next steps you should take in order to have a successful career as well as a happy life. Thus, when working with the present tool, please always have a holistic approach in mind, thinking about all aspects of your life.
